Moving Logistics

Well, the deal with our buyers is still not "done" - we have invested quite a bit of time in home repairs and home repair research. This part of the process is taking entirely longer than it needs to take... I am not sure what the deal is, but I'll be glad when it's over.

We had New World Van Lines come out last week to do their "inventory" of our house and estimate how long it will take to pack it all up and ship it out. The man that came totally reminded me of my grandpa dykstra - he was like the first interaction I've had with this whole move that was actually pleasant. He spent most of the time (while he worked, of course) talking (a mile a minute!) about his kids and bragging about his grandkids and talking to ellie and nathan. He said that it would take them 3 or 4 days to "pack and load" and then of course, a day of "travel." He didn't say how long it would take to unload and unpack, but it's looking like a good week for the whole job. ugh! Now, we have to think logisitcs -- we close on our house in Omaha on June 13th, so maybe the following week would be good - give us some time to clean the house and get it ready to just out stuff away when it arrives.

Otherwise, time is marching on -- so much to do and NEVER enough time. Work is starting to wind down for the school year, which is the only thing keeping me sane at this point. ONly four weeks left and every week is different, but at least for this week, I have a "glass is half full" mentality - after all, we have done 7 months of this, what's one more?
